Elly and Nell
Elly and Nell are two delightful AKC purebred Wire Fox Terriers are available for adoption. Each is available for adoption on her own, but it would be wonderful if someone wanted to adopt them together. Nell turned 8 and Elly turned 9 in April, but they are plenty energetic, engaged, full of fun, and affectionate: they both love to sit on your lap, go for walks, play together, and play with toys. They were the husband's dogs. He passed away 3 years ago, and they now need a new home.
They come when called. They are incredibly well house trained: they sleep in their crates and never have accidents in them, and they are pee pad trained if they are left out in the house for a long time. They travel well in the car in their crates. Elly is good with the owner’s grandchildren; Nell just leaves if she doesn’t like the children, so they both could do well in a house with well-supervised children. They are fine with other dogs and will leave if the other dog is pushy rather than get in a tussle. They have no experience with cats. Elly is generally the instigator of events. Nell tends to follow.
They are both prey driven; they dig for moles and gophers and have succeeded in catching squirrels, and unfortunately, a couple chickens.
Both are in good health, spayed, and up-to-date on shots.
