Meet "Gus"

Gus is a 2-year-old Wire Fox Terrier/Terrier mix.  He is a young terrier through and through: smart, curious, energetic, mischievous, and a practiced escape artist with a strong prey drive (so strong in fact, that he has caught and killed a chicken).

He is super friendly with people he meets; he is playful, cuddly, gets along well with the four other dogs he lives with and with the neighbor’s dog.

He is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations and in good health. He weights 21 lbs. and is 18" tall.

His new family will need to provide him with structure, a stable routine, some training, and lots of exercise. He may need to be introduced to exercising on a leash or with a harness.

He currently has access to the outside at all times, so he may need a little help getting into a potty routine if the new owners don’t have a doggie door.

We are looking adopters who:

  • Are terrier-savvy

  • Have a secure, fenced yard

  • Have no children under the age of 8 of their own or that visit regularly

  • Have someone at home a good part of the day

  • Have NO farm animals, cats, or other small pets (another dog is probably okay)

  • Are located within a 2-hour drive of Portland, OR, or are in the Seattle/Puget Sound area where we have a sister rescue

If you are interested in "Gus," review our Adoption Application and email us at dian.l.chute@gmail.com

We look forward to sharing this wonderful Foxie mix with you.

If we don't have any Foxies available or the dog we have available is not for you, here is what you can do to look for a new Foxie for your family.
